Please explain the importance of this feature for geothermal development site selection

  • In order to solve the MT exploration difficulties in the rough terrain and high noisy environment like in Taiwan, 3JTech has developed MT array system and software. After few year’s exploration in Taiwan the results are compared with the drilling results for some unsuccessful geothermal. The MT Array results show no geothermal reservoir around the drilling sites. The results were published in the World Geothermal Congress 2020+1
  • The separation among the measuring points of the MT array is generally 500 meters to several kilometers. To find geothermal reservoirs, further reservoir simulation requires more accurate data. Generally, microearthquake or background noise is used. However, the method needs to wait for natural earthquakes and sometimes take years.
  • ERL_TEM exploration system will have a higher horizontal resolution because of the reduced coil span.
